Yo Quiero Espadrilles

I know that I definitely don't need any more canvas shoes but I just can't seem to help myself. On my trip to Panama [post coming soon] I noticed these on some of the natives and the older folks quite a bit. I really wanted to go to one a the local outlets and grab a pair for 4 bucks but we just didn't have the time to do any shopping 
[taking care a business]. Instead of getting some native authentic's, I guess I'll just have to settle for the next best thing.

As much as we'd all like to deny the fact that we often visit Urban Outfitters, sometimes, and even often, they have some good deals of decent quality. And as much as I love the children, I just can't shell out 44 bones for some TOMS right now [brotha ain't got no job]. Personally, I think these are a nice option and dare I say better alternative. I don't know if it's the side sole roping, or the price that makes me like these more but I do. They're only 18, and if that's too steep, they offer a 14 dollar version with more color options but those just don't appeal to me much. They had more photos but that damn javascript got in my way. Oh well, you can see em all HERE.

I Sincerely Apologize

I didn't have time to tell you but I've been in PANAMA for the last week or so [just got back]. It was kind of a last minute thing, so informing you on my leave was just no option. I'LL MAKE IT UP THOUGH. I have so much to talk about so I'll have to put you on hold while I gather my thoughts and wait for the photos to come in from my new friends in Central America.
Anyway, I had a bomb ass time. This is my second visit in the last two years and I think I'm gonna have to start going much more often. I got to see all my friends and family that I rarely ever get to see, and I've even got a new found love for fútbol. As you can see [below] their love for the sport is MUCH stronger than my affection, but hey, we're growing on one another.

Reiss 1971

Another British creation. I've always been a big fan of tailored clothing and it isn't to my surprise that all the cool stuff comes from the UK. Reiss' main clothing line pretty much caters to this but it is its "young and rich" line [1971] that mixes the tailored with the too cool to dress up. I'm big on being casual but I'm also big on looking put together, so for the most part I think the line does pretty well.

HOWEVER, I live in Texas and there is no way that I could wear a pea coat and khakis in 90 degree weather. I don't understand the concept of making clothes that people won't be able to wear anytime between April and October, yet they market it as Spring/Summer. Using summer colors doesn't justify something as summer wear. They did do a better job on the woman's line though. Lil mama looks good, and as a man with excellent taste, I can appreciate that.

If it wasn't for my godly physique and high metabolism then there'd be a good chance of me being dead right now. When you have nothing but pure free time on your hands, you tend to get pretty inventive with your meals. I'm a real man. I cook--and by cook I mean I come up with the most ridiculously delicious feast this side of the US.  If you don't mind the caloric intake then I suggest a DBEC: donut, bacon, egg and cheese. OH, and don't forget the Sunny D Kool-Aid combo [juice drink of champions].

I can't remember if I've let you in on my secret or not, but I'm into GLEE more than any straight man ever should be. The homies never want to watch it with me so every Tuesday I sit and enjoy it in secrecy. There are however a few people that I talk about it with so for now I guess that'll suffice. Thanks MALIBU.

NOW TO THE FINALE. It was yesterday and needless it say it was dope as hell. As much as I liked New Directions' performance I gotta give it up to Vocal Adrenaline due to their Queen mash up.  We did the same songs when I was in marching band a few years ago, long story. Props to Sue Sylvester for not being such a douche anymore and for Will and Schu being real men by telling their women they love em. There's so much more to say but I tend to get long winded. STORY OF MY LIFE.

Besides the GLEE finale, Justified decided to end its season yesterday as well. Surprisingly, I don't know anyone who watches this show [total shame]. I've been a fan since day one and I can't wait till it comes back in the fall. Raylan killed like 4 more people in this episode and he even shot his punk ass daddy Arlo. BEST EPISODE TO DATE.

Now that all my shows are going off season I don't know what I'll do with myself. Reality tv can suck it and I refuse to watch another episode of Bernie Mac. I think a 30 minute romantic sitcom is in order.

30 and up Please

In "honor" of the MTV movies awards I've decided to compile a list of some of my favorite hot ass old women [30+]. For some, 30 is the time when women begin to long for the days when they were young and able, ready to take on the world with their bright firm skin and their oak framed high school diploma. THOSE DAYS ARE LONG GONE, and now all that's left is procreation, the jewelry channel, and a fresh out the diner early bird special.
HOWEVER, I believe that 30 is just another year that's passed. So what if you can't get into that club for free anymore, instead you can walk into Gucci and  look like you might actually buy something [I think it's a plus]. No more flashing ID to buy yo drank, and the biggest advantage is that 30 years of experience--maturity.
Now I'm not saying every woman over 30 is mature [have you seen basketball wives?] but what I am saying is that I always and will continue to love a girl who acts like a grown up. If there's anyone over thirty reading, chances are, you're beautiful--with your old ass.

Steady Taming Nature

Gaia's bringing wheatpaste [and the jew fro] back to life. As much as I'd love to see some of my favorite artist doin their thing [illegally of course] it's just so hard to find a decent video that isn't obscured by bad lighting and questionable settings. This video however, is one of the few exceptions. Taming Nature gives a more experienced step by step process of what it takes to wheatpaste, offering all us amatures and admirers a small glimpse into the counture culture. I've watched the video about a million times since I found it in October, so I figured this'd be a good a time as any to share it with the blog fam. 4 points for the Major Lazer audio.
